What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Nurse (RN) Med/Surg (Medical-Surgical) position at Epic Travel Staffing?
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med/Surg 1W
Shift: Nights/ 7p-7:30a, 12x3, 36hrs/week, w/ a 1/2 hour lunch break, weekends as scheduled
Length: 13 weeks
Holidays will depend on the needs of the unit. If they don't have enough perm staff to cover holidays, travelers would be expected to work holidays.
Requirements:
- WV license
- 2 Years Experience
- Strong knowledge in MedSurg, ID, Isolation precautions, etc.
- AHA BLS
Other Details:
- Charting System: EPIC
- # of beds 18-Beds (All private rooms due to Infectious Diseases)
- Ratios "1:5-6
- 1:4 if Covid
- (Typically staffed w/ 3-4 RNs/shift)
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients Any & all Infectious Disease, Isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, etc.
- Travelers are the 1st to float. Floating is required to any MedSurg units. If floated to Tele they would be assigned patients w/ in skillset
