Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Emergency Department at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals.
• Administer medications, perform various medical procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a RN in an acute care setting.
• Current licensure in State of Vermont required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, Epic Certifications.
• Prior travel experience preferred, but not required.

Work Environment:

The Emergency Department at the University of Vermont Medical Center is a Level 1 trauma center with an average daily census of over 200 patients. Our team includes ED attendings, EM residency programs, PA support staff, EMTs, RT, Pharmacist, Mental Health Techs, and psych specific RNs.
