Shift: Variable D/E, 7a-5p or 11a-9p, 10x4, 40 hrs per week, Call required, nights, weekends holidays as needed

Length: 13 weeks

Weekend: As needed per on call requirements

On-call; off-shifts and holidays are scheduled as needed on the unit for all staff

Requirements:

• 2 years experience
• Inpatient, outpatient and trauma work setting experience required
• BLS
• CSFA
• VA Board of Medicine Certified First Surgical Assistant w/ NBSTSA and NCCSA required
• CSTFA preferred

• Special Requirements/Skills: scrub, first assist, aseptic technique, bariatrics, plastics, abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation, laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, robotic assisted gynecological procedures, vaginal hysterectomy. CSFA will assist in skin closure, subcutaneous closure and ties, facia closure and ties, closure and ties of peritoneum, tying deep vessels, incising tissue and performs hemostatic techniques; assists with procedural set up and patient preparedness for specific procedures in positioning, prepping and draping, and participate in patient transport and room turnover

Compliance Requirements: Once confirmed, traveler must undergo credentialing cycle w/ facility (4 cycle meetings). Traveler will also receive 3rd party email from Verity and must complete requested documents electronically. There is a processing application with a $400 processing fee that the candidate will need to fill out once they accepted position (need to margin for the $400 fee if the candidate does not already hold it).

Shift: 07:00-17:00 OR 11:00-21:00 based on needs of unit. Call required, nights, weekends holidays as needed.

First-timers accepted: Yes
