About the Role : The Sr. Manager, Business Operations will oversee a team providing expertise in the implementation, enhancement, and support of financial and other business applications. You will drive the transformation of our business applications, processes, and deliver on the strategic direction of the Operations Technology team. Additionally, you will oversee the identification of process improvements, creation of documentation and serve in a support role for various aspects of our Business Ops, Finance, and Accounting functions.
What You'll Do :
Support strategic direction, deliver on roadmap, and provide day-to-day operational oversight for the systems used by the Business Ops, Finance, and Accounting organizations
Provide leadership, support, and guidance to the business systems team by managing a team of business analysts
Proactively identify and recommend ways to improve quality and optimize processes for the organization within our business systems
Evaluate, select, and lead the implementation of new technologies in the CFO organization
Evaluate and improve system performance, utilization, and scalability
Enable the delivery of consistent and reliable data and reporting
Liaise with functional leaders to drive success of business outcomes, streamlining of operations, and identification of improvement areas
Ensure business systems are properly documented and managed as changes are introduced
Be engaged in the oversight of issue resolution for business and finance systems
Partner with IT organization to resolve issues and deliver projects that impact the business ops, finance, and accounting organizations
Act as program / project manager for complex business systems transformations
Partner with SOX Compliance team to implement compensating / mitigating controls for high-risk areas
Work with product development and 3rd party teams to escalate and track critical systems changes
What You Need to Succeed :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, a related discipline, or significant direct work experience in these areas
10 years of professional experience is required
5 years managing and developing employees
Ability to project manage multiple employees, cross-functional project teams, and drive project success
Self-starter with demonstrated success in driving positive change in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Excellent analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with a strong grasp of technical concepts
Strong written and verbal communication skills, highly collaborative
Adaptability - Commitment, self-confidence, and willingness to embrace change
Dependability and Reliability - Initiative, consistently meets deadlines, concentration, and desires accountability for team's work
