## Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages while ensuring customer satisfaction.
## Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee beverages following recipes and quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and recommending menu items
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment proficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system accurately
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
## Experience
### Required Skills:
- Proficiency in retail math and basic math skills
- Knowledge of food safety practices in the food industry
- Experience in coffee preparation and service
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to handle cash transactions and operate a POS system
### Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Previous experience in food service or related field
- Cash handling experience
