Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Lunchroom Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing logistical operations of three separate charter school cafeterias served out of the main kitchen. Your role will be to coordinate between the Chef and the cafeteria servers to ensure that food is delivered on time and proper daily production requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Transportation of food to the different cafeterias
- Oversee and assist with food preparation and ensure all items are presented according to our quality standards.
- The ability to foster positive cooperative teamwork with your coworkers to ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner and standards are upheld
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and cashier station.
- Provide assistance to customers by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Assist the chef in the kitchen, delegate responsibilities to team members, and relay important information
Skills
- Experience with school lunch room settings is preferred
- A strong understanding of USDA Meal Pattern guidelines including proper portion sizes and nutrition standards for children
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ability to work well with others
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
