Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Lunchroom Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling food orders. We are a cafeteria service for three charter schools in Providence RI. You will play a crucial part in ensuring a positive dining experience for our students by delivering prompt service and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Greet students warmly and serve them in accordance with USDA Meal Pattern requirements
- Ensure accurate student guest counts
- Assist with food preparation and ensure all items are presented according to our quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and cashier station.
- Provide assistance to customers by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Skills
- Experience with school lunch room settings is preferred
- A strong understanding of USDA Meal Pattern guidelines including proper portion sizes and nutrition standards for children
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
