We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Operations Generalist to join our team and support our US-based employees. Your expertise in payroll and ability to support broader HR functions will be key to fostering a seamless employee experience.

In this role, you will own payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations., as well as support with a variety of HR tasks, which may include employee onboarding, maintaining HRIS records, employee relations, etc.

This role will be based in New York City (3 days per week in-office).

Job Summary :

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the organization, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits are properly handled.
  • Review and verify employee timecards, hours worked, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Support HOPC,US with employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and concerns.
  • Assist with conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews and assist with the offboarding process.Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA).
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and provide assistance with enrollment, claims, and plan changes.
  • Stay up to date with new labor laws and immigration regulations and in collaboration with external labor law experts and suggest changes needed to ensure our processes / terms and policies are compliant.
  • Support Talent Acquisition with providing information and answering questions (employments terms, relocation regulation / services) in connection with the hiring process
  • Support Head of People & Culture, US Leads with people operational tasks
  • Receive and handle sick leave notifications and ensure to inform external and internal sick leave process parties
  • Process owner of onboarding process (overall layout) to ensure new employees are set up for success
  • Responsible for the offboarding process (eg. exit survey set up and analysis)
  • Contribute to team OKRs to ensure initiatives, processes, and programs are achieved
  • Manage and update HR global intranet
  • Stay up to date with trends and best practices within the field
  • Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required

Requirements :

  • Intermediate to basic knowledge of labor laws and regulations in all ES countriesKnowledge of ES HR policies, processes / programs and benefits in all ES countries
  • The ability to research, analyze and reason logically to be able to provide guidance and advice within a tight timeframe
  • Basic project management skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail
  • Great verbal and written communication skills to be able to efficiently communicate with both managers and employees on all levels in the organization
  • Service-minded and focused on providing excellent service to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Good judgment to handle access to confidential information and materials with great discretion
  • This is a full-time, hybrid position, based in New York City. This position has a base compensation span of 89,500 - 112,000 USD yearly dependent upon experience.

    Benefits include dental, health, medical, and vision plan options, 30 days vacations a year accrual, 6 months parental leave, 401k saving, and wellness benefits.

    Hybrid Remote

    While our primary mode of operation is from the office, we offer the flexibility for employees to work from home when a couple of days per week.

    Salary : $89,500 - $112,000
