We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Operations Generalist to join our team and support our US-based employees. Your expertise in payroll and ability to support broader HR functions will be key to fostering a seamless employee experience.
In this role, you will own payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations., as well as support with a variety of HR tasks, which may include employee onboarding, maintaining HRIS records, employee relations, etc.
This role will be based in New York City (3 days per week in-office).
Job Summary :
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for the organization, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits are properly handled.
- Review and verify employee timecards, hours worked, bonuses, and commissions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Support HOPC,US with employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and concerns.
- Assist with conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Conduct exit interviews and assist with the offboarding process.Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable benefits laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA).
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and provide assistance with enrollment, claims, and plan changes.
- Stay up to date with new labor laws and immigration regulations and in collaboration with external labor law experts and suggest changes needed to ensure our processes / terms and policies are compliant.
- Support Talent Acquisition with providing information and answering questions (employments terms, relocation regulation / services) in connection with the hiring process
- Support Head of People & Culture, US Leads with people operational tasks
- Receive and handle sick leave notifications and ensure to inform external and internal sick leave process parties
- Process owner of onboarding process (overall layout) to ensure new employees are set up for success
- Responsible for the offboarding process (eg. exit survey set up and analysis)
- Contribute to team OKRs to ensure initiatives, processes, and programs are achieved
- Manage and update HR global intranet
- Stay up to date with trends and best practices within the field
- Other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required
Requirements :
This is a full-time, hybrid position, based in New York City. This position has a base compensation span of 89,500 - 112,000 USD yearly dependent upon experience.
