We are looking for Senior Backend Engineers
The Growth teams at Epidemic Sound focuses on enhancing user engagement through our Subscription Experience and Payments teams. The Subscription Experience team develops backend solutions for A / B testing and experimentation, while the Payments team ensures secure transaction flows. In this role, you will be essential in optimizing backend systems for either payments or subscriptions, building scalable microservices and APIs that enhance user experience. Collaboration with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders will drive feature implementation and improve backend processes for seamless integration.

Your insights will shape and influence the team’s roadmap, so we're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and embraces uncertainty.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems, focusing on subscription and payment services.
- Design and implement REST APIs and microservices using Kotlin and Ktor, optimized for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions.
- Champion best practices in CI / CD, DevOps, and testing, leveraging Kubernetes, GCP, and other tools to ensure robust deployment pipelines.
- Drive experimentation through A / B testing and other growth-oriented methods to iteratively improve user engagement.
