Deaton Fleet Solutions is now hiring for a Service Writer to join our team.
Schedule: 4:30pm- 12:30am Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
Our Service Writer is our face-to-face contact with our customer and carries a very important role by making sure our customers are provided with the level of quality service our customers deserve. The Service Writer assists our customers from the time they step foot in the door until the moment they leave. In this role service calls will be dispatched, updates are given to customers on repairs, repair estimates are created, purchase orders are requested, invoices are finalized and submit to customers for payment processing. The Service Writer closely with the parts department to ensure all parts are correctly billed to each task. We at Deaton do all of this so that our customers are provided with quality service and products to keep them on the road instead of on the side of it.
Qualifications
Skills Needed:
- Some Accounting knowledge and experience
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with proficiency in MS Excel
- Inventory and parts knowledge
- Good analytical skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrates the ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Employee must have an articulate and courteous phone voice.
- Ability to set priorities and accomplish duties with little supervision and direction in a timely manner.
Nice to Have:
- Strong math skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Experience in a parts or service center related field
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving history
