Position Description
PSFG seeks a full-time Program Associate reporting to our Executive Director in the Washington, D.C. office. The incumbent will support our team across all programs and activities. The ideal candidate must be able to function independently with minimal supervision, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and have the ability to serve as a reliable and flexible member of a small team. The ideal candidate will also have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and will be expected to engage in continued learning and growth around DEI.

In executing their responsibilities, the Program Associate will have the opportunity to gain substantive experience in the dynamic field of peace and security philanthropy and will benefit from close collaboration with a diverse group of funders, philanthropic networks, advocacy organizations, and policymakers. Through our work, PSFG staff gain a deeper understanding of the strategies employed within peace and security philanthropy, the critical stakeholders in this field (both within the United States and abroad), relationships between donors and non-governmental organizations, and pressing issues faced by peace and security practitioners.

Compensation
Salary is $42,000 - $47,000, depending on experience. Excellent benefits, including full health, dental and vision, and short / long-term disability coverage; a 5% employer contribution to a 401(k) retirement plan; parental and extended family leave; generous paid vacation, personal days, sick days, and holidays; professional development funds; and more.
Work is generally performed in PSFG’s Washington, D.C. office, so the Program Associate will be stationary (at a desk) for extended periods of time. The Program Associate will also attend meetings in the D.C. metro area on a regular basis and will have occasional travel out of town (e.g., PSFG’s Annual Meeting, conferences, professional development). A workstation will be provided to you to complete your responsibilities for this position. The PSFG office is located on the seventh floor of an office building, accessible via an elevator.
