Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and hygiene standards throughout all kitchen operations.
• Support menu planning and catering efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with special dietary requests.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food handling tools.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and clean kitchen environment.
• Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
• Participate in training sessions on food handling practices and kitchen safety measures.

Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food handling environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with catering operations and menu planning is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to help others within the dietary department.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
