Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician at Epiroc!
The primary responsibility for this position is to support manufacturing employees and line management with functioning equipment.
Work Type (Onsite)
This position will be based onsite at our Milwaukie, OR facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship
Shift Timings:
1st Shift
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize production disruptions.
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment for proper operation and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify maintenance needs and assist with equipment setup, calibration, and testing.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain and update maintenance logs and documentation, including work orders, parts usage, and repairs performed.
- Work with the maintenance supervisor to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development of maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with 5S and safety standards.
- Participate in training programs to stay current with industry standards and maintenance techniques.
The salary for this position is between $22.19 and $25.61 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.
Knowledge/Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Have an understanding of industrial instrumentation and control
- Must be knowledgeable in OSHA laws as related to general shop practice
- A basic mechanical ability to dismantle and reassemble simple assemblies
- Experience in a machine shop environment is desired.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical breakdowns
- Must be able to consistently lift 40 lbs, work on lift platforms up to 30 ft high and ladders up to 35 ft
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems and equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment diagnostics.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
