Join Our Team as a Shipping Clerk at Epiroc!
Under the direction of the department supervisor, the shipping clerk is responsible for packaging and shipping orders safely and efficiently and receiving items correctly into inventory by their correct amount and proper location.
Work Type (Onsite)
This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship
Shift Timings:
1st Shift: Standard day shift hours equate to 8 hours per day, Monday–Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Operate hi-lo safely and efficiently to move material
- Pulling & staging of the finished product
- Daily loading of XPO spotted trailers (tag / pro / load)
- Loading of LTL and truckload orders
- Maintaining drop zone area, putting away finished product
- Assist the shipping department with day-to-day tasks and material handling as needed, as well as all other tasks as assigned
- Maintain proper and accurate documentation (picklists, serial numbers, BOL’s)
- Cross-train in other areas of the department
- Maintain accurate inventory records; cycle count; troubleshoot errors
- Proper packaging of freight where needed (shrink wrapping, banding, palletizing )
- Use of overhead crane
- Maintain clean work area
Knowledge/Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- The position requires close attention to detail
- Must have good mathematical ability and a high level of work accuracy
- Must have, or be able to obtain, a hi-lo license
- A positive, team-oriented attitude is critical for success
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and write legibly
- Good verbal and written communication skills
