- Mandatory Requirements Educational: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Writing / Security, or a related field.
Requirements:
A. Mandatory
1. Five (5) years full-time experience in accessibility testing to include Section 508, WCAG 2.1 Level AA and ACR creation;
2. Relevant certifications, e.g., Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA), Trusted Tester Certification
3. Excellent writing and communication skills as described in a transmittal letter accompanying the bid.
B. Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working with State government, accessibility knowledge and WCAG and Section 508 testing.
C. References
1. Three references with both telephone and email contact are required.
Responsibilities and Tasks
The vendor will conduct accessibility testing of the assigned digital tools, to include but not limited to online platforms, courses, websites, portals, etc., to create an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR).
responsibility :
- Attending kick off meetings for each assigned digital tool
- Developing a test plan including:
- the accessibility assessment process (standards and technologies).
- MSDE is required to meet Section 508 standards and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
- multiple assistive technology tools (including the use of JAWS, VoiceOver and NVDA).
- mainstream web browsers
- physical iOS and Android devices, not mobile emulators
- expected outcomes o a list of the different screens that will be included in the evaluation
- MSDE may provide the vendor with user stories to mirror the expected workflow of the digital tool
- Producing a detailed audit report including:
- summary of issues (severity and success criteria)
- results aligned to the test plan
- issue breakdown (frequency, location, steps to reproduce, alignment, and suggestion)
- Compiling an ACR using the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT)
- VPAT version 2.5 or most recent version
- VPAT edition INT and remit all EU standards during the evaluation
- Attending a delivery meeting with the product sponsor
