The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the upkeep and functionality of all manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role involves ensuring that equipment is properly maintained, performing regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and managing repairs. The manager also collaborates with external vendors for service contracts, facility improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The goal is to ensure minimal downtime, improve operational efficiency, and maintain a safe and functional work environment.

Essential Job Functions
- Regularly monitor and maintain optimal machine/equipment function to ensure the maximum efficiency of all Episciences Batching and Packaging lines.
- Ensure that all Episciences Machine Operators are adhering to proper processes and safety procedures when operating all machines/equipment.
- Conduct scheduled, and unscheduled, maintenance and repairs on any necessary machines/equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Conduct and document compliance validations for all Episciences systems, machines/equipment and processes.
- Periodically audit documentation of procedures and validations for all systems, machines/equipment and processes, and update as necessary.
- Identify and communicate all manufacturing machine/equipment needs (including current processes as well as future growth potential) with the Vice President of Manufacturing.
- Any other task assigned by the General Manager of Manufacturing or a designate.
Ideal Qualifications for this Position:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience is preferred
- 3 years of management experience in a manufacturing related field is preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and other general computing software
- Ability to read, comprehend, and create manufacturing SOPs and regulatory documents (such as OSHA regulations)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organization, filing and document writing skills
- The sense of sight (corrected to normal range), speech English, (Spanish is an asset), have full range of body motion, including handling and lifting up to 40 plus pounds, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
