Requirements:
- Passion for working with children and creating a positive camp experience.
- Energetic, creative, and adaptable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to ensure the safety and well-being of campers.
- Previous experience working with children, such as babysitting or early childhood education.
- Experience or passion for nature and the outdoors
- Ability to manage a group of children and maintain discipline in a positive manner
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging nature-based activities for campers ages 5-12
- Communicate supply needs to camp leadership in a timely manner
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Build relationships with campers, parents, and fellow staff members
- Supervise and engage campers in a variety of art-based activities
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their social and emotional development
- Collaborate with other camp staff as necessary to enhance camp experiences
- Maintain equipment, clean up activity space at the end of day, and keep equipment organized in storage for easy use
