Job Summary
The Camp Capers Facilities and Maintenance Manager isresponsible foroverseeing the maintenance and repairs of the physical property of Camp Capers ensuring all facilities, grounds, equipment, and vehicles are maintained in proper working order. This hands-on position works with the facilities team to ensure that Camp Capers is a safe and welcoming environment for all groups and staff. It is imperative for the Facilities and Maintenance Manager to exemplify Christian hospitality to all guests while serving alongside all staff members. This position reports to the Director of Camp Capers.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and complete maintenance and repairs of all physical property through consistent and complete site and facilities inspections creating project lists and prioritizing repairs
- Manage and complete all repairs, preventative maintenance, and physical property improvements
- Coordinate and manage with outside contract services on repairs and projects which are unable to be completed in-house
- Identify, prioritize, and recommend capital improvements and repairs; supervise completion of capital projects at the direction of Director of Camp Capers
- Supervise, train, and schedule year-round and seasonal facilities maintenance and events where volunteers are completing camp facility enhancements and repairs
- Work within annual facility and vehicle maintenance budgets
- Ensure all facilities and maintenance areas are clean and safe for guests and staff and report housekeeping issues as necessary
- Anticipate potential safety hazards and develop plans to remove and resolve identified hazards
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance projects comply with all regulatory agencies and all state and local license and permit requirements
- Support the Camp Capers leadership team with planning maintenance projects around camp programs and schedules
- As needed and directed by Camp Capers leadership, support daily camp operations with other Camp Capers team members
- Other maintenance and support duties as needed and assigned

Construction skills, preferred

Experience with vehicle maintenance, tractors, and rental industrial equipment
Flexibility to adjust to changing facility and site needs
