Episcopal High School is seeking a Field Hockey Head Coach. The Head Coach will report to the Athletic Director for guidance, support, and accountability. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
- Coaches will schedule athletic events while consulting the no contest calendar provided by the athletic director.
- Coaches will secure officials for scrimmages and games.
- Coaches will work with other staff members to resolve conflicts involving scheduling and facilities.
- Coaches will provide the athletic director with team rosters at the beginning of each season and notify the athletic director of roster changes throughout the season.
- Coaches will be present at all practices and games.
- Coaches will report all scores to athletic administration.
- Coaches will distribute team gear at the beginning of each season and collect and inventory team gear at the conclusion of the season.
- Complete the Safeguarding Gods Children training, both in person and online.
- Maintain relationships with parents, alumni, friends of the program, and others toward the positive image and promotion of the program and School.
- Attend and participate in athletic department meetings.
Excellence with interpersonal communications (written and oral) skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is necessary. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and mentoring skills and a strong desire to learn. Must maintain a high level of professionalism and be comfortable working in a flexible, team environment with a positive attitude.
