Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience required.
- Able to read, write, and understand the English language and speak the language in an understandable manner.
- Be a minimum of (18) years of age.
- Able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
- Able to push, pull, lift 50 lbs. regularly and occasionally push up to 150 lbs. and move equipment, supplies, etc., throughout the work day.
- Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID19.
As a housekeeper you can expect to:
- Housekeeper is responsible for day-to-day housekeeping function such as cleaning, polishing, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, etc., all environmental surfaces, in both resident rooms and common areas of the facility (floor, ceiling, walls, fixtures, furniture, appliances), ensuring that established Infection Control practices and safety precautions are followed at all times.
- Housekeeper coordinates housekeeping services with nursing services whenever routine assignments occur in resident living areas or common areas and whenever emergency needs arise including routine/terminal isolation procedures.
- Housekeeper performs terminal cleaning procedures, as instructed, when a resident is discharged and/or transferred to another room/area.
- Housekeeper reports all accidents, incidents, hazardous conditions or equipment to the Supervisor and keeps work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects, such as protruding mop/broom handles, unnecessary equipment, etc. Assures that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, meal times, and end of the work day.
- Exhibits behavior in accordance with ERS’s core values.
- Maintains confidentiality of all current and prospective staff information in accordance with HIPPA guidelines.

The ideal STNA / Resident Assistant candidate will have experience caring for residents with dementia and working in long-term care. Under direct supervision and working in a team environment this position provides for the daily personal physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs, activities of daily living and comfort of our residents in accordance with our established policies, procedures, and team standards.
