Summary
As an Inventory Supervisor, you will be responsible for warehouse inventory management, inventory availability for production needs, control of inventory management processes, accurate tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress goods, and finished products, and supervise material handlers and inventory control personnel to maintain efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach and supervise warehouse employees within the scope of material handlers and inventory control personnel.
- Schedule and coordinate full coverage per shift.
- Manage inventory accuracy; compare physical inventory counts to SAP records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Review inventory requirements for production and coordinate the transfer of inventory between departments.
- Schedule equipment maintenance and repair services when needed.
- Maintain FIFO with RM and PM.
- Make sure all pallets are scanned to proper locations at all timed.
- Make sure RECO is done at the time production line is changing over.
- Maintain cleanliness / 5 S’s of warehouse area by promptly removing debris (wood pallets and crates, packing material, etc.).
- Perform work in a safe manner while identifying and communicating potential hazards in or around the warehouse.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to secure daily operational requirements to develop strategies to improve warehouse efficiency.
- Provide input and suggestions to management so as to allow for continual improvement of warehouse operations.
- Perform all tasks in a manner compliant with EPL safety, quality, and GMP standards as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Education
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to operate a Turret Truck and forklift and/or other related material handling equipment and receive certification as required to operate such equipment.
- Ability and knowledge of SAP, RF guns and excel.
- Ability to effectively and accurately communicate with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and verbal instruction. Ability to present information and respond to questions from management.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all necessary units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written.
- Ability to use computer applications and spreadsheets to maintain inventory and material information.
