Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans that address specific health concerns and promote optimal nutrition.
- Provide education on nutrition, meal planning, and dietary modifications to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings, long-term care facilities, and hospitals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
- Offer health coaching to empower patients in making informed dietary choices that align with their health goals.
- Stay updated on the latest research in nutrition, physiology, and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Assist in managing the dietary department by ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent credentials.
- Experience in acute care settings or long-term care facilities preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and its relationship to nutrition and health outcomes.
- Proficiency in tube feeding techniques and dietary management for various medical conditions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
