Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dietetics and a passion for improving patient health through nutritional guidance. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their dietary needs, develop personalized care plans, and provide ongoing support to promote healthy eating habits.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual nutritional needs and dietary restrictions.
  • Develop and implement tailored care plans that address specific health concerns and promote optimal nutrition.
  • Provide education on nutrition, meal planning, and dietary modifications to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings, long-term care facilities, and hospitals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
  • Offer health coaching to empower patients in making informed dietary choices that align with their health goals.
  • Stay updated on the latest research in nutrition, physiology, and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Assist in managing the dietary department by ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid certification as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or equivalent credentials.
  • Experience in acute care settings or long-term care facilities preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and its relationship to nutrition and health outcomes.
  • Proficiency in tube feeding techniques and dietary management for various medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Passion for promoting health through nutrition and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
