Role Overview
The Director will oversee R&D project management activities for teams working on cell therapies and related modalities. This role is pivotal in advancing our diverse pipeline aimed at revolutionizing medicine. The Director will ensure projects are executed on time and successfully, guiding product candidates through their development and lifecycle stages. Working closely with the Project Leader and functional leads, the Director will develop comprehensive timelines, identify opportunities for acceleration, manage risks, and address unforeseen challenges to align with the product development strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize meeting schedules, agendas, minutes, team activities, decision logs, action items, and other organizational components to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop detailed project plans and timelines in collaboration with the Project Leader and functional leads, in line with the project development strategy.
- Act as a coordinator for all functions involved in the project.
- Monitor project progress across all stakeholders to ensure timely execution, proactively communicating emerging issues.
- Create and manage an integrated project resource plan.
- Assess the impact of changes due to company priorities, unforeseen events, or new opportunities, and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a risk register and manage risks effectively.
- Support the Project Leader in achieving governance endorsement at each stage gate.
- Contribute to the project management office by developing tools and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
- B.S., M.S., Ph.D., M.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent in a science, engineering, or medicine-related field.
- 10 years of industry experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
- Strong project management experience and proficiency with associated tools.
- Ability to identify and resolve timeline dependencies and conflicts.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to ensure flawless execution.
- Agile and adaptable with strong leadership skills and emotional intelligence.
- Experience in the development of cell therapies or viral vectors.
- Experience in therapeutic areas such as hematological malignancies, autoimmune diseases, or solid tumors.
- Positive attitude and a passion for patient care.
- Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; Mandarin is a plus.
Salary : $200,000 - $245,000
