Field Applications Scientist - Boston, Massachusetts
We are partnered with an established mRNA services provider to expand the FAS support across the Northeast. If you have a passion for advancing clients workflows with customized solutions this role could be perfect for you. The role involves traveling around Boston, providing technical sales support and promoting high-quality mRNA services and nucleic acid therapeutic solutions. Candidates can be located in CT, RI, MA, NH, and must be comfortable travelling to Boston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and pre-sales support to the business development and sales team to ensure the customers' needs are understood.
- Act as an SME for custom solutions which include Nucleic Acid solutions, customized discovery services in mRNA manufacturing, oligonucleotide, analytical testing, etc.
- Stay updated of industry trends by attending tradeshows, conferences and networking events.
Required Skills:
- Must be willing to travel up to 30% across the territory mainly focused in Boston and surrounding clients
- This is a client-facing role that requires technical communication skills, candidate's must have a proven track record or working cross-functionally with sales, business development, and marketing teams
- Technical expertise in customized projects and workflow understanding for mRNA services
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting focused on molecular biology, mRNA applications, and in vitro Transcription (IVT) applications
