What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Lab Test Operator - Part Time position at Eppendorf?
Your challenges
- Learn and perform Media Hold Test and Biological Challenge Test for the samples collected from the manufacturing floor for the newly manufactured SIP systems. Both tests are designed to validate the steam sterilization process of the new bioprocess system.
- Perform the microbiological tests in the biosafety cabinet.
- Check the stock of sterile sampling assemblies regularly and build the assemblies when the stock is low.
- Communicate effectively with the manufacturing floor and follow the test schedule strictly.
- Finish the documentation for each accomplished test accurately. Scan the documentation to save an electronic copy. Bring the finished documentation to the Director of Quality and Regulatory on time.
- Responsible for ordering chemicals and biological indicators for the tests when needed. Keep all items valid before the expiration date and restock when necessary.
- Report test issues immediately to the supervisor of the Bioprocess Applications Lab and Manufacturing floor, and troubleshoot the problem collectively.
- Maintain lab coats by keeping up with the cleaning service.
- Cleans and sterilizes the reusable glassware for the lab.
- Order chemicals, reagents, and supplies for the lab.
- Willing to take additional responsibilities related to the microbiology testing and lab maintenance.
Your expertise
- High school diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry or related area is preferred.
- One-year experience working in a biological lab with good aseptic techniques is highly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, test protocols, and quality documentations
