STEAM Teacher

We are seeking a creative and student-centered Middle High School Computer Science Technology/STEAM Teacher for permanent full-time opening in a middle school setting, grades 6 - 8. The ideal candidate will be skilled in educating students in computer science, science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who will design and deliver quality student-centered instruction that will develop students’ knowledge and skills in a variety of topics with a focus on essential computer skills. Excellent classroom management skills, a collaborative nature and experience with competency-based education is preferred. NH Certification or statement of eligibility in technology related fields preferred. Applicants certified in related fields will also be considered. Knowledge of and experience in best practices of middle level instruction preferred. Responsibilities Plan and deliver student centered instruction based upon the state curriculum and student needs. Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of student-centered learning.  Manage classroom procedures and student behavior in a manner consistent with child development. Communicate with students and their families about class activities and progression of learning. Assess and monitor student progress on learning standards to inform instruction. Collaborate with all educators at EMHS to enhance and share best practices.  Reflect on teaching practices and participate in ongoing professional development for growth. Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications and meet the learning needs of all students. Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records.  Complete other duties as assigned by the principal.
