Middle-High School Nurse (Grades 6-12)Epping School DistrictFY 2024-2025 in Epping, NH 03042The Epping School District is seeking a School Nurse at the middle and high school level to manage the schools Health Office. Candidates should have experience with the practice of professional nursing that advances the well-being, academic success, and life-long achievement of students. The school nurse facilitates positive student responses to development; promotes health, safety, and wellness; intervenes with actual and potential health problems; provides case management services; and actively collaborates with students and families for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning. This is accomplished through the implementation of the Epping School District Comprehensive Health Services Plan.
The School Nurse functions in accordance with the New Hampshire Nurses Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and the school districts policies and procedures. ResponsibilitiesPlanning and delivery of school nursing services. Ability to assess student health through analysis of data collected. Identifying outcomes and developing plans for individual students including strategies and alternatives for care.Collaborate and incorporate input from students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators and medical providers when identifying health problems for referral of proper treatment.Consult with administration to provide health education and employ strategies to promote health, wellness, and a safe environment.
Should have knowledge of laws relating to student health including parental and guardian consent.
