Job Description
The Program Administrator is responsible for the productivity and effectiveness of the Insurance Divisions infrastructure and initiatives. The position leads the works closely with the internal stakeholders to provide system support, administrative functions and improvements with a focus on the divisions new processing system and its current internal, legacy systems. The ideal candidate has experience with insurance industry processing and policy issuance platforms, payment processing, and integration software.
What Youll Do (Functions and Responsibilities)
- Manage and lead the team who will work to design, develop, and maintain the processing systems and related solutions for the company.
- Develop advanced reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
- Regularly perform database de-duping and cleanup procedures, regularly audits data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement
- Regularly addresses and solves integration errors and works with business users to prevent future errors.
- Improves current systems and associated processes by analyzing requirements and current practices; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
- Recommends controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
- Prioritize relevant projects and provide reporting and status updates to Senior Leadership.
- Collaborate with relevant business stakeholders to execute the roadmap including coordination with the companys internal systems and external platforms.
- Receives high-level business requirements and provides technical options and analysis of possible solutions to be utilized.
- Implement and integrate third-party products/applications on the platform.
- Maintain and enhance visual layout, workflow rules, automation and business logic to streamline business processes and improve user experience.
- Coordinate and lead user acceptance testing with various groups to ensure the quality of developed solutions prior to deployment. Deploy change sets between sandboxes and production environments using appropriate tools.
- Manage quality of data in the systems. Research and advise on best practices for solutions.
- Write formula expressions for price rules, validation rules, and approval rules; implement product rules
- Provide ongoing support to the organization including product training and technical support when enhancements are released.
- Documenting business processes, business requirements and solution designs.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports, when applicable.
What Were Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
- Minimum 5 year of policy administration experience in the insurance industry.
- Experience with insurance industry processing and policy issuance platforms, payment processing, and integration software.
- Experience with Flow Builder, Process Builder, workflows, validation rules and other content of declarative complexity.
- Strong understanding of insurance industry best practices and functionality
- Program administration certifications preferred.
- Exceptional analytical ability, strong technical skills, and business intelligence skills.
- Possess strong Customer Service mindset, demonstrate a full understanding of the needs of the internal customer.
- Project management skill set with the ability to manage special complex projects which are large in scope.
- Flexible to various demands and ability to problem solve, including the ability to logically approach a problem and propose multiple recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
