Cost Analyst

Description

We are seeking a Cost Analyst with experience in government contracts to support financial planning, cost estimation, forecasting and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will analyze costs, forecasts, prepare reports, and ensure adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates, pricing models, and financial reports for government contracts.
• Monitor contract performance, identifying cost variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Support proposal pricing and budgeting efforts, ensuring compliance with FAR, DCAA, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Collaborate with program managers, finance teams, and government auditors to maintain financial transparency.
• Prepare financial models and forecasts to support decision-making.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments.
• Maintain financial documentation and assist with contract negotiations.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: 3 years of cost analysis experience in government contracting.
• Knowledge:
• Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance.
• Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Pricing strategies and cost proposal development.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
