- Generate redlines of technical and non-technical nature.
- Assist in identifying the scope of work and fee for proposals, work order authorization, or change orders.
- Create and manage complicated base files.
- Perform engineering calculations and modeling independently for final review by a PE.
- Perform independent QC on reports and models prepared by others using checklists and review tools.
- Responsible for writing and compiling reports with final review by a PE. May assist with advanced modeling.
- Responsible for report writing and compliation and submit to PE for final review.
- Prepare high-quality exhibits for client and public presentations following company standards.
- Prepare cost estimates with direction.
- Prepare agenda and meeting minutes for client and municipal meetings. May be asked to lead some client meetings.
- Present technical topics to clients and review agencies.
- Coordinate internal departments and subconsultants to meet project timelines.
- Assist with the request for information (RFIs).
- Assist with hydraulic and hydrology calculations for roadway drainage.
- Assist with preparing specifications.
- Responsible for completing timecards accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Achieve an 85-90% Billable Utilization Rate. Non-billable activities include company & team meetings, professional development, community involvement, innovation time, culture & engagement activities, learning, and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing engineering construction plans and reports for land development projects.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Professional knowledge of Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Pipe Networks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of governmental public and private development codes and ordinances.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess a positive attitude and actively participate in company culture.
- Ability to efficiently utilize time in completing tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The position may require a visit to project sites occasionally.
- The position requires a normal range of hearing.
- The employee must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires prolonged sitting with 15% of the time spent bending and reaching.
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
