- Participate in team status meetings.
- Assist with basic reports with guidance using templates.
- Perform fundamental engineering calculations with guidance.
- Assist with preparing simple reports with guidance using office templates.
- Modify base files with oversight.
- Perform basic project research to support design.
- Address basic nontechnical redlines.
- Assist with preparing simple exhibits.
- Provide engineering support to the rest of the project team.
- Assist with the preparation of engineering drawings.
- Communicate proactively on projects.
- Responsible for completing timecards accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Achieve an 85-90% Billable Utilization Rate. Non-billable activities include company & team meetings, professional development, community involvement, innovation time, culture & engagement activities, learning, and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of and ability to locate local, state, and federal codes and ordinances.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Functional knowledge of Civil 3D, Microstation and Bluebeam.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (Passed Fundamental Engineering (FE) Exam).
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The position may require a visit to project sites occasionally.
- The position requires a normal range of hearing.
- The employee must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires prolonged sitting with 15% of the time spent bending and reaching.
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
