- Due Diligence
- Address complex technical redlines.
- Perform engineering calculations with minimal guidance.
- Prepare engineering reports with guidance.
- Produce base files for simple sites with oversight.
- Create complex exhibits may require CAD or GIS.
- Responsible to have ability to interpret standards and criteria for complicated sites.
- Participate in client meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Utilize feature lines in Civil 3D / Microstation.
- Prepare and coordinate submittals.
- Review and follow scope tasks.
- Understand budget and perform tasks within allotted time.
- Identify the components and information required of construction drawing plan sets.
- Responsible for completing timecards accurately and on time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Achieve an 85-90% Billable Utilization Rate. Non-billable activities include company & team meetings, professional development, community involvement, innovation time, culture & engagement activities, learning, and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience preparing engineering construction plans and reports for projects.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Understand application of municipal codes and ordinances.
- Understand role and deliverables of internal departments and sub-consultants.
- Professional knowledge of Civil 3D, Microstation, Bluebeam, and Pipe Networks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of governmental public and private development codes and ordinances.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (Passed Fundamental Engineering (FE) Exam).
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The position may require a visit to project sites occasionally.
- The position requires a normal range of hearing.
- The employee must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires prolonged sitting with 15% of the time spent bending and reaching.
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
