What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Supervisor position at EPS Security?
EPS Security is looking for a talented individual to join our Notifier Life Safety Division as an Installation Supervisor. This person will work alongside the Installation Manager.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Supervise work of technicians and subcontractors.
- Analyze performance of each technician to determine effectiveness.
- Act as a liaison between customer, subcontractor, and EPS. Provide response to customer complaints and inquiries. May require visit to job site. Analyze and determine solution to customer problems.
- Assist Installation Manager with paperwork, reports, metrics, and job costing issues.
- Provide technical direction and/or assistance.
- Assist with inspections when needed.
- Review of new job documentation to identify potential mistakes or issues.
- Perform field inspections to measure technician performance as well as identify safety concerns.
- Perform daily review of paperwork submitted/provided by technicians, schedulers, and HR.
- Work with Sales and Sales Estimators on proposed solutions, upcoming project needs and conflict resolution for current open projects.
- Work with contractors to resolve issues and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Review job layout, directly or indirectly through PM, with technicians before they begin job. Ensure technicians have equipment, materials and tools needed to effectively perform their jobs. This may include attending job start meetings.
- Work in conjunction with project managers to maintain and enforce compliance with installation standards and procedures.
- Two (2) year degree in Electronics or equivalent experience.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience installing Notifier preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain NICET and FAST Certification within the first year of the position.
- Analytical ability required to review blueprints/building plans on large jobs and determine most effective layout of system.
- Effective interpersonal skills necessary to verbally communicate with customers and co-workers.
