We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure efficient materials handling and order fulfillment. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking and prepare items for shipment in accordance with company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accurate inventory counts during the process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and enhance productivity within the distribution center.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts and cranes.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes in a distribution center setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience with order picking and inventory management is preferred but not mandatory.
