Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, locate, and store products within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, safety protocols, and mechanical knowledge to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow OSHA regulations and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipment and ensure timely distribution of products.
- Utilize cranes as needed for heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes safely.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
