Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect packages for damage and report discrepancies to management.
- Utilize AS400 software for inventory tracking and management.
- Organize and stock received items in designated storage areas.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely to move goods within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping and receiving goals.
- Assist in inventory counts and stock audits as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with order picking, order fulfillment processes, and distribution center operations is advantageous.
- Proficient in using warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, particularly AS400, is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
