Overview
We are seeking a warehouse /skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial in ensuring that all products are loaded, unloaded, and stored correctly, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move products to designated areas within the warehouse for storage or shipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and maintenance.
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying product counts and inspecting for damage.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and order picking processes.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks, is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is an asset.
- Proven ability in order picking and shipping/receiving functions will enhance your candidacy.
- A valid forklift operator certification is required; training may be provided for qualified candidates without certification.
