Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations in our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and materials handling. As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and managing a team to achieve operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Manage inventory control processes, including stock rotation and cycle counts to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and streamline operations.
- Coordinate with e-commerce teams to ensure timely order processing and delivery.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety practices, and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize distribution processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, preferably in a distribution center environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment and materials handling.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes in an e-commerce setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Familiarity with inventory control techniques and best practices.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and managing operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across teams.
