Epsilon Systems is seeking a full time Warehouse Specialist in Mayport Florida.
Summary: Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or on computer.
Mark stock items, using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.
Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location, based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs.
Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them, as necessary.
Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability.
Purchase new or additional stock, or prepare documents that provide for such purchases.
Advise customers or internal users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials requested.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Four (4) years experience in a DON/DOD or commercial services logistics, supply, and material distribution activity.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective packing, shipping and distribution material and Equipment. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Certifications & Licenses: (Will allow following to be obtained with-in a six-month period after hired if you possess a valid VA state driver’s license and experience with operating a fork lift with 5,000 lift capacity.)
License to drive a fork lift.
Commercial Driver’s License with Hazardous Material Endorsement.
ADA Notations: Involves heavy lifting, frequent stooping or bending and possible working assignments in overhead structures, confined spaces or beneath machinery. Work conditions vary from indoors to outdoor, very hot to very cold.
Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration the presence of occasional and loud noises.
Able to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways, and up and down antenna masts/yardarms (onboard ships).
Able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. in weight.
Must have manual and finger dexterity; able to grasp, manipulate, assemble small objects.
Able to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Able to perceive and distinguish normal range of colors.
May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.
