We are looking for an experienced Shipboard Maintenance Specialist to work on our U.S. Navy vessel fleet. The successful candidate will perform various tasks related to bilge maintenance, tank cleaning, and equipment operation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Bilge maintenance cleaning/pumping operations, general pumping operations, tank/void cleaning, general housekeeping, gas-free certification preparation, and pumping.
- Equipment troubleshooting to diagnose problems and report to the specialist or foreman.
- Following and executing work packages, specification items, or system alterations (e.g., TEMPALTs, SHIPALTs, ORDALTs) in accordance with directives (e.g., instructions, drawings, technical manuals, MILSPECs).
- Safety and OSHA regulations adherence, ensuring that personnel protective equipment is worn and damaged PPE is discarded.
