Job Description


The Director, Media Development is responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of Media Development Representatives to help them grow in their careers at Epsilon. This position also oversees the management and growth of all Epsilon’s supply partnerships (direct publishers and SSPs), including proactively identifying and developing new revenue opportunities with these partners. This position collaborates with Product, Engineering, and Business Development teams on identification of industry trends, product development, and product adoption. This role will focus on process enhancements to allow Media teams to work more efficiently, including creating business cases to justify product and engineering efforts. A successful Director, Media Development has a sense of urgency, solid supervisory skills, experience upselling new products to partners and is a creative problem solver. Candidates should also have experience leading, building, and developing a team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for effectively managing, coaching, and motivating a team to achieve organizational and individual goals.
  • Accountable for all aspects of team oversight, including onboarding, training, and performance.
  • Oversee the progress of teams managed publishers and exchange partners to ensure successful partnerships and product adoption.
  • Perform daily inventory reviews to recognize trends and develop an action plan to address the identified trends.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to develop solutions that will enhance our operational efficiency and improve publisher and exchange partnerships.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies for the team.
  • Serve as a point of contact for cross teams when multiple teams are working on the same project and ensure actions remain synergistic.
  • Perform industry market trend research and analysis to assist in the identification of new publisher products and unique partnership opportunities.
  • Clearly analyze and present data in large group settings.
  • Develop internal and external training materials for clients and cross-teams.
  • Understand and communicate Epsilon’s value proposition and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relatable major
  • 7 years of programmatic experience (DSP/SSP/Direct Publisher)
  • Advanced excel skills required.
  • 2 years of experience with HTML, SQL and JavaScript is preferred.
  • Experience successfully managing and motivating a team to achieve goals.
  • Ability to rapidly grasp new technology and comfortable with changing priorities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, sales and written skills
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills
