Job Title: Agile Coach
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)
Position Type: Contract
Job Description: As an Agile Coach, you will play a key role in guiding and mentoring teams and leadership to adopt and scale Agile practices across the organization. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and delivering high-quality results. Your role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure Agile principles are applied effectively and that value is consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide teams, leaders, and stakeholders in the adoption and implementation of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Facilitate and coach Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
- Mentor and empower teams to become self-organized, high-performing units
- Work closely with leadership to ensure alignment on Agile transformation goals and continuous improvement efforts
- Help teams identify and remove impediments to success
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
- Provide training, workshops, and one-on-one coaching to Agile teams
- Measure and track team performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
- Help teams and leadership create and maintain high-level Agile strategies and roadmaps
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or in a similar role
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide individuals and teams through change
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different organizational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), or other relevant certifications
- Experience with scaling frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Spotify model
- Background in leading Agile transformations at the enterprise level
- Strong knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Agile project management software
