Epson, a global leader in high-quality consumer electronics, imaging, and point of sale printing devices, is seeking an exceptional Business Development manager to join our Commercial Business Inkjet End User Sales Team in the MidAtlantic Region. This person will develop business opportunities, working with the Epson End User Account Managers, for the Epson BIJ commercial product line, within education, corporate, and retail/hospitality vertical markets. Drive Epson branded business by increasing market penetration and will be responsible for end-user and partner relationship management.

- Develop contacts in target accounts through prospecting in designated markets
- Creates demand in assigned markets, channels, and/or product lines
- Establishes a strong Epson presence within account base at decision maker and management level
- Interacts with all appropriate internal and external customers to ensure the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies with the customer
- Identifies and understands the customer’s needs and provides solutions using Epson products, programs, and services
- Demonstrate products to new prospective customers
- Keeps abreast of product lines and industry trends and informs Epson management on developments and trends that may impact customers’ purchases and other business activities in the future
- Participates in trade shows, sales meetings, and other lead generation activities
- Adheres to all administrative policies and procedures
- Maintains an account database of contacts and activities
- Operates within budgetary constraints
- Builds strong relationships with departments, peers and managers to best meet company goals and objectives
- Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations
- Minimum 5 years of direct end user sales experience with a technology manufacturer
- Ability to identify and build strong relationships with decision makers and navigate commercial purchasing channels
- Ability to travel within local region, Canada to customer sites and Trade Shows with occasional trips to Headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA (50-75% travel required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent (B.A. or B.S.) preferred
- Must be located in the MidAtlantic US region: specifically NY, NJ, DC, or Charlotte, NC
