Summary
The Benefits Coordinator will provide support to the Human Resources department and all Firm employees in benefits, wellness activities, and employee leave administration. The Benefits Coordinator will have an in-depth understanding of all Firm benefit plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, FSA, commuter, life, disability, EAP, and retirement, including plan design, eligibility, enrollment, policies, standard practices as well as all applicable laws related to the administration of each plan.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate benefit enrollment process for all plans for all Firm employees; includes processing employee enrollments/changes/terminations; updating carriers and vendors; entering and maintaining employee benefit details in HRIS.
- Communicate with employees and work directly with vendors and benefits broker/consultant to resolve employee benefit matters including issues with claims and approvals.
- Assist with the outsourced COBRA administration process.
- Assist with the outsourced leave management process with third party administrator
- Conduct new hire benefit orientation and periodically provide suggestions to enhance orientation experience.
- Review and process benefit bills accurately and in a timely manner; prepare firm and employee cost reports in accordance with the requirements of the Firm’s Finance Department.
- Liaise with Payroll Manager on benefit matters concerning adjustments to employee payroll (e.g., departures, leaves of absence, life events).
- Conduct audits of employee eligibility and enrollment information to ensure accuracy in all systems and databases.
- Prepare census, eligibility, and benefit reporting as needed as well as annual projects including compliance reporting.
- Assist with annual Open Enrollments for all benefit plans.
- Assist with the design and implementation of employee wellness programs
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ experience in Employee Benefits administration; minimum two-year degree preferred
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint); strong Excel skills; experience with HRIS and report generation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- ADP experience a plus
The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. The salary offered is based on a variety of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered. In addition to the base salary, a generous employee benefits package including healthcare benefits is offered, and successful employees are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
