We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Content Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team. Work Location and Hours
Worksite location — Currently remote, with occasional meetings in the Washington, DC metro area. Strong preference for candidates who live in the Washington, DC metro area. Less than 10% travel outside the Washington, DC metro area, optional.
This position will be for 4-12 months, up to 15 hours per week (hours and length of internship will be confirmed with supervisor, but need to include overlap with business hours for at least half of the weekly hours).
The Role
The Content Marketing Intern will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to develop and execute content strategies across our digital platforms for B2B clients in critical services, environmental and green projects, financial services, and more. This hands-on learning opportunity involves crafting engaging social media content, assisting with email marketing campaigns, and helping maintain our content calendar. You'll gain practical experience in content creation while working alongside experienced marketing professionals who can help guide your professional development.
Other duties include researching industry trends, brainstorming content ideas, assisting with basic analytics reporting, and learning how to measure content performance. This internship is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building a foundation in content marketing. The right candidate will have strong writing abilities, a basic understanding of social media platforms, and a desire to learn about content strategy and digital marketing best practices.
This position will primarily do the following :
- Marketing Campaign Support : Assist in the execution of and reporting for marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media (i.e., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), and email. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign success.
- Content Creation and Management : Create engaging and compelling marketing content, including social media posts and graphics, email newsletters, and website materials. Maintain content calendars and ensure consistent branding and messaging.
- Data Analysis and Reporting : Analyze marketing campaign performance metrics and generate regular reports. Use insights to make data-driven recommendations for optimizing marketing strategies and improving ROI.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis : Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences. Use findings to identify opportunities, make informed marketing decisions, and stay ahead of market changes.
This position will work with the Creative team, and report to the Director of Client Services.
