Shift Details
1st shift - 7:00AM to 3:30PM (Monday through Friday)
POSITION SUMMARY: The MIM Process Technician is primarily responsible for the following:
- Maintaining production yields by directly inspecting and/or reviewing reports and coordinating with other shifts and operations to keep the process at optimal efficiency and quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Develop and evaluate new and existing processes, components, products, and systems in conformance with engineering specifications.
- Direct and execute tool and molding changes in accordance with the production schedule.
- Validate injection mold and work cell through IQ, OQ, PQ validation process.
- Document in detail, molding process, mold set-up, work cell layout, and troubleshooting information for each job that is validated.
- Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other quality control procedures, within the guidelines of approved changes.
- Perform root cause analysis, with the oversite of quality personnel, and complete the required corrective action(s) to bring the process back within control.
- Perform tests, as needed to verify production/process conditions.
- Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Tends automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
- Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
- Participate in activities related to trouble shooting, as well as cycle time and process improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- EDUCATION: High School diploma, general education degree (GED) and/or trade school graduate preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: 5 year(s) relevant injection molding experience or training, equivalent combinations or education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable. Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing/molding operation preferred, but not required.
- LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/ REGISTRATIONS: Valid fork truck license.
