Shift Details
3rd Shift Monday through Friday 11:00pm to 7:00am
Shift Differential is an additional $1.00 per hour for this 3rd shift position
POSITION SUMMARY: Manually inspects completed plastics parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels and stacks full boxes on pallets. May operate machines. May train Inspector/Packer I’s. Operates in a safe manner and keeps work area clean and organized.

- Ability to follow demonstrated directions to operate a plastic injection molding machine job under the supervision of others.
- Work includes removing parts from mold, light sub-assemblies and packing finished products.
- Additional requirements include visual inspection of parts and capability of notifying supervisor or quality technician of issues.
- Sets up the station with the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions.
- Package and label production in accordance of the standard operating procedure.
- Documents production, calculating the number of products inspected and rejected.
- Communicates any process problems to the Process Technician/Shift Supervisor/ Group Lead
- In process inspection: Inspection consists of frequent examination of the visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination, sinks, splay, delamination, etc.
- Assist with relieving other operators with scheduled breaks
- Responsible for keeping areas neat and clean, follows restriction/rules of fire protection, safety and environmental issues
- Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
- Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- EDUCATION: High School diploma, equivalent or trade school graduate and/or minimum experience.
- EXPERIENCE: 1 Year experience in a manufacturing environment
- LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: None
- OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers. Basic knowledge of equipment. Basic ability to read prints and use simple measuring equipment. Basic math skills.
