Shift and Pay Details
2 shift - 3:15PM to 11:45PM (Monday through Friday)
Please note the Position posted has a base hourly rate of $18 to $22 DOE
There is an additional 10% Shift Differential for this 2nd Shift position
POSITION SUMMARY: The MIM Machine Operator is primarily responsible for the following:
- Manually inspects completed parts and packs them into boxes for shipping.
- Seals boxes, prints labels, and stacks full boxes on pallets.
- Operates injection molding machines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Sets up station with the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions.
- Package and label products in accordance with the standard operating procedure.
- Documents production, calculating the number of products inspected and rejected.
- Complete quality documentation, as required.
- In-process inspection, which consists of frequent examination of the visual attributes of each product (discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, delamination, etc.)
- Packing, which includes transferring the product from catch bins or boxes into shipping containers, transporting the product to the shipping area, weighing, properly completing, and affixing correct label to container, preparing, and supplying new or used boxes to the molding presses and stacking finished product correctly on pallet.
- Sorting and rework, which includes properly documenting and labeling product to identify the status as non-conforming. Sampling and gaging of reject product may be required.
- Read and interpret the manufacturing process instructions, visual aids/drawings (e.g., microscope and magnifying lenses).
- Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
- Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- EDUCATION: High School diploma, general education degree (GED) and/or trade school graduate preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: 6 months manufacturing experience or training, equivalent combinations or education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable.
