SHIFT DETAILS:Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm
POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting machine installations, maintaining, and repairing injection molding machinery and auxiliary equipment such as robotics, material handling, central drying system, conveyor systems and other associated production equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Support new equipment installations including injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and robotics.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems and return to serviceability
- Test or calibrate components or equipment, following manufacturers' manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools, power tools, or measuring devices.
- Repair pick and place tooling, mechanical systems, and controls, calibrate and adjust pick/place points
- Experience with material handling, automation and/or robotics equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules as directed by project manager.
- Perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules
- Assist process technicians and supervisors with the installation and removal of process equipment
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- EDUCATION: Trade school graduate or associate degree or a combination of experience and education.
- Experience: 5 years prior experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing setting
- Experience: 10 years’ experience in an injections molding operation
- Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing/molding operation
- Strong experience in the plastics industry maintaining and repairing injection molding machines
- Experience with material handling, automation and/or robotics equipment
