POSITION SUMMARY: The Plant Operations Manager is primarily responsible for the following:
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations and improvement activities, to support the company’s long and short-term goals and objectives.
- Assist and develop the operations team, enabling the business to meet objectives and grow organically.
- Effectively plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing operations.

- Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance (PM) activities to ensure the reliability and availability of plant equipment and machinery.
- Work in conjunction with site GM and Controller to develop and manage the plant operations budget, including capital expenditures, labor costs, and operating expenses.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards. * Participate in customer visits and calls, as needed.
- Responsible for hiring, training, performance management and career development for all direct report team members.
- Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the company, as required, during customer, internal and ISO audits, as well as FDA inspections.
- Attend and actively participate in daily Gemba walks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to safety.
- Collaborate with the quality team to address any quality issues or customer concerns promptly.
- Participate in the HOSHIN process and implementation of the plan.
- Create and maintain an industry leading Customer Experience/Satisfaction, driving and measuring, customer touch points, OTD service levels, Quality levels, and responsiveness.
- Foster and uphold the core principles of the organization, centered around the well-being of Employees, Customers, and Stakeholders, to establish a workplace culture that excels in achieving exceptional employee engagement.
- Understand the sensitivity of the data handled by systems under your control and take appropriate measures to protect it.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree with a major in business, applied science, or an engineering field.
- EXPERIENCE: 5 year(s) of operations management or plant management in an FDA, and ISO 13485 operating environment; equivalent combinations or education and experience accepted OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position.
